Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to share your ideas on incorporating your faith into your career. Your presentation was outstanding. I particularly liked the idea of adding "Purpose" to the SAINT and Income diagram. I am certain that all came away with some new food for thought, food for a life changing idea to come to them. Without the unselfish support of people like you, our group would flounder. Thanks. -- Ed Walton, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Career Networking Group ______________________
I got the job! Key 100+ Tips I used were like-ability first, focused qualifiers and differentiators... I was empowered and invigorated!I am still in a bit of awe that some low-key networking led me to this opportunity. Be sure to tell others that having the basics in place and on a flip chart on the wall during a phone interview is both empowering and energizing. Bill is back! Thanks. -- Bill Bartely ______________________ Thanks! I am greatly relieved to again be employed. What Others Are Saying About Their CTF Experience _________________________
If you think things will never change for you, you should know I spent 20 years of frustration wandering in the career desert. Then Nick provided the guidance, support, and encouragement I needed to discover God's plan for me. Thanks to Nick, I have found the courage, commitment, and inner resources to cross into the Promised Land. Thank God I am free at last! All I can say is that if you reach out, God provides the rest. -- Hugh Costello, President, Mighty Mech LLC, Fairmont, West Virginia _________________________
Nick and Cathy bring people together in a workshop that inspires participants to understand themselves, their world, and their careers through the lenses of community, oneness, and spirituality. It's a refreshing, invigorating, and vital part of anyone's career management. -- Robert Hindinger, Robert@Hindinger.com _________________________
I am happy to serve as a reference for Careers Through Faith (CTF). The very best thing about CTF, and absolutely unique to that organization is Nick Synko and his wife Cathy. They have a depth of understanding because of their own life lived, the depth of communication they have with many, many people and because of their faith. They are thinkers, doers and encouragers; knowledgeable, wise and honest. For Nick this is a vocation about which he is passionate. He wants the very best for you.
The seminars are designed to motivate the participant to take responsibility for the life and gifts God has given us. They do just that. It is great to be in a forum with people with similar motivations, wherever you are in life, whatever the circumstances you are in, and find a kind of communion with them. The group becomes very supportive.
CTF is a spring board to get you on your way and the people you meet will motivate, facilitate, inform and support.
The overall effect of being in the seminars was to mark a watershed in my life, to really show myself that I was at the stage to do something definite about my direction in life; this is IT! And so it was. It gave me the impetus I needed, the accountability (I have stayed in touch with Cathy and Nick ever since), the belief that it was possible to find the answers and the courage to persist until I knew the what, the where, the how and all the other answers I needed. So here I am 3.5 years later... and finishing up pre-requisites for nursing (and doing exceedingly well in school).
If someone had told me that a few years back I would have not believed all this could fall into place or that I had what it took with God's help - a significant part of which was Careers Through Faith.
God bless you, guide you and give you peace.
-- Elizabeth Chewter

To Cathy O'Donnell:
I just wanted to thank you for the Ann Arbor News article on Careers Through Faith. I called Cathy Synko that day and learned there was a new class starting that Saturday. I joined the class and can't tell you how helpful and encouraging it has been... The best part about this program is that it integrates a faith aspect. This has been the missing element in other career programs. If it hadn't been for your article, I would have missed out on a wonderful life-changing opportunity.
